The Koceljeva Winter Stores Festival (Festival zimnice) is a premier gastronomic event held every September, showcasing the rich culinary traditions of Western Serbia. The festival gathers hundreds of local producers who display an incredible variety of authentic, homemade winter preserves, including pickled vegetables, ajvar, jams, juices, and traditional compotes prepared using time-honored and family recipes. Beyond the colorful stalls, the event features a vibrant cultural program, traditional folklore performances, and a highly anticipated competition in cooking Serbian hunter’s stew (lovački gulaš), making it a favorite autumn destination for thousands of food lovers and tourists.
Besides main programe, there are also: children’s program, humanitarian blood drive, permanent exhibition at the local history museum, parade of children’s folklore groups, concerts by rock bands and famous Serbian entertainers, children’s masquerade ball, announcement of the best children’s artwork, hunter’s goulash cooking competition, evening concert by a cultural and artistic society.
