For more than 60 years, Topola has celebrated the Oplenac Grape Harvest Festival, a traditional event dedicated to grapes, wine, vineyards and winemakers. Held over three days every second week of October, the festival brings together a variety of exhibitions and competitions showcasing livestock, agricultural products, fruit, grapes and wine.

The rich cultural heritage of the region is also presented through exhibitions of traditional crafts and handmade products, along with a competition featuring locally made souvenirs. Throughout the town, visitors can explore numerous traditional stalls offering grapes and wine, fresh fruit, handicrafts, souvenirs and other local products.

The festival takes place in the heart of Topola, stretching along the main streets from Vinski Trg (Wine Square), through Vinska ulica (Wine Street), all the way to Karađorđev grad (Karađorđe’s Town) and Oplenac, creating a lively atmosphere throughout the town.

In 2014, the festival was selected by the European Commission to become part of the European Destinations of Excellence (EDEN) network, in recognition of its outstanding contribution to local cultural heritage.
